Financially Independent
Back in 2018, I started freelancing on Upwork as a way to connect with entrepreneurs who were trying to build their businesses.
Since college, I was always a startup enthusiast who believed in networking and never stopped brainstorming ideas with friends. Coupled with rebel nature, maybe that’s what motivated me to start a freelancing career.
Soon, I realized that not too many people knew about freelancing as a career. How it was a way to start an independent business that could be managed from anywhere around the world.
Covid restrictions made people realize that they could work from anywhere. The Great Resignation further fuelled the growth of the freelancing class.
I would always get calls from people in my network about how to get projects and start their own freelancing career. That made me realize that I could influence people in order to start their own independent business of offering services that they were good at. https://owlous.in/freelancing-digital-no-madness/
When you are doing something different that influences people, it makes you really want to work hard and with full dedication.
It’s very common, for people to hire influencers to post some stories, posts, etc. on social media to promote their business.
Somewhere down the line, I wanted to start my own startup, fuelled by the influence(good/bad) that I created around me.
Right now, in the market, you would see how saturated the ideas have become. There are factors like timing, niche idea, execution, an excellent team that propel a startup growth.
A new age of startups is on the horizon. An independent business owner as an influencer can build his own personal brand that meets his business brand at some point.
True independence doesn’t come from being an independent business owner but from being financially independent.
